Where you’re going
8200 SW 124th Street, Pinecrest, FL 33156
Make the visit your own
1. Movement passport. On the open lawn, invent three slow moves, like tiptoe, stretch and slow motion steps, and do them in order.
2. Playground inventors. Pretend the slide or the climber is part of an expedition. The usual playground rules still apply.
3. Sound detective. During a shady break, listen for three different sounds from nature or the neighborhood.
A flexible mini-itinerary
1. First 10 minutes. Find the restrooms, some water and a quiet bench or picnic table.
2. Next 25 minutes. Playground time at whatever pace your kid wants.
3. Around 35 minutes in. Try the movement passport on the lawn, or take a short walk on the path.
4. Last 10 minutes. Snack, water and let your kid tell the story of the day.
Admission and costs
The park is free to visit. Reservations and special services may cost extra.
Getting there and parking
Check the park’s official page for closures, access and event reservations before you go.

A bite to eat
Bring water and a small snack.
There are picnic tables. If you’re coming with a big group, check the rules first.
Weather and an easier pace

Before you begin
